Their spam is still here but it looks like their accounts have been deleted. Maybe Austin is returning.
Yes, but it’s really slow going. Over 50,000 spam topics have been created and they all have to be removed about 10 at a time. Each group takes about a minute to remove, so to remove all of them will take about 5,000 minutes or 83 hours. Even working 8 hours a day would take over a week. I’m looking to find a way to do it quicker, but so far I’ve been unsuccessful.
And that’s just to clean up the mess. Next I have to devise a whole new security system. I’ve been able to stop the spammers from creating new accounts, but the only way I was able to do this was by completely disabling the registration system. This makes it impossible for new members to make an account.
I wish I would have known about the problems sooner. I don’t visit here enough to be able to keep on top of things.
