Petrie is my favorite character. He’s just too funny. :lol_ducky He tries his hardest even when he knows it’s hopeless, like when he tried to move a rock that was probably 20x his own weight. I like the way he talks too.
I like Petrie too. He’s not the smartest of the gang, but he does what needs to be done and is loyal to his friends.
If anything, I loved Petrie’s sudden bursts of courage in a number of the earlier movies. The moments mainly involve Ducky being in danger, but boy do I love those moments. My favorites include.
The first movie where, after getting the ability to fly, he takes Sharptooth head on.
The second movie, when Ducky tries to beat up one of Chomper’s parents by herself to protect Spike, Petrie swoops in and saves her before she’s about to become a snack.
Finally, the fourth movie. The gang is running away from Dil and Icky. Icky grabs Ducky and Petrie charges in after him.
Haters say Petrie is a coward. Mind if I shove these scenes in their faces?
He’s no coward. Especially when it comes to protecting those he cares about.

I’ve never thought Petrie was a coward. Scared, yes. But when it comes down to it, he does what has to be done even though he’s afraid. And that’s the exact OPPOSITE of being a coward. That’s having courage. :happy_littlefoot
Yeah, Petrie is no coward! Whoever said that has no idea what they’re talking about. :mad_cera
