Ruby, what do you make of her?

Ruby was only introduced in the TV Series and only had a secondary role in Journey of the Brave, so we don’t have too much to go on.

She seems pretty carefree.

I like Ruby and I was a little disappointed that she and Chomper didn’t accompany the rest of the gang on their journey in LBT 14. I wonder why? Is that how it’s going to be from now on? Just the gang go on adventures?

The TV series came out after LBT 13 and I was eagerly awaiting seeing Ruby in the next movie. Then to have nothing but a shot of her backside as if she were some background character or an afterthought….it wasn’t very nice. I would have much preferred for her and Chomper to be part of the quest. :sad_spike

Not that I recall. I only saw the movie once and I wasn’t very impressed. It wasn’t a terrible movie, but it certainly wasn’t my favorite of the sequels.

I got curios so I just skimmed over parts of the movie and they did have 1 or 2 lines. But nothing worth mentioning. They basically weren’t there.

I got to thinking, you don’t think Ruby is an Egg Stealer, do you? “Ovi” means egg and her species WAS originally thought to be an egg eater. Now that is in doubt, but I’m not sure if that was known when her character was created or not.

She and her parents look quite different than Ozzie and Strut, so I doubt she’s an egg eater. Still, I suppose you never know. Egg eaters don’t live entirely off of eggs you know. Maybe Ruby’s just never had an egg before.

Ruby isn’t in the new movie? I haven’t seen the 14th movie yet but it seems strange to me that they wouldn’t include her and Chomper. Wasn’t the TV series supposed to be set after the 13th movie?

Ruby was in the 14th movie, but she and Chomper basically just got a cameo.

Eh, she’s alright. She’s not my favorite character. I guess I’ll just never feel the same about Ruby and Chomper that I do about the rest of them – probably because I didn’t grow up with Ruby and Chomper was always a side character.
