I thought it was established that the HYENAS killed Scar? Did Zira not know that and why didn’t Simba bother to inform her of that since he clearly guessed that she wanted him dead?
Did Zira just not believe him or did, for whatever reason, Simba actually not see the hyenas kill Scar and somehow believe that he’d wounded Scar and Scar died in the fire?
It’s possible that Zira just believed Simba was lying about that part. I mean, it kinda looked like Simba confessed to being responsible for Mufasa’s death (and, more to the point, had vanished for years and apparently didn’t bother to inform the pride that he’d been chased off by hyeans in the first place, which MIGHT have been important for them to know!!!!) and then forced a confession out of Scar and then killed him and that she truly believed Scar was the rightful king and that Simba had killed both Mufasa and Scar to take control. (If so, I kinda feel sorry for her.)
Anyway, some of my fanfiction ideas, which would go along with the theory that only the hyenas (and Scar himself of course) knew that the hyenas had killed Scar and Simba had looked away when he thought that Scar was about to burn to death or something.)
It did look like he looked down but I think it’s possible that something caused him to look away (perhaps Nala called to him to see if he was ok, causing him to look away Who knows?)
Anyway, my theories were that Scar COULD be seen like Mufasa and also that the hyeans would form an alliance with jackals against the Pride Lands.
This sort of seems to be happening (minus the alliance part) in The Lion Guard.
