I was right in the middle of working on the Characters Page when I came across Mr. Thicknose. My first thought was, “Gee, that would be a name I’d change right away.” LOL. But seriously, let’s discuss him.

I feel a bit bad for Mr. Thicknose. It’s just like Grandpa Longneck said. The worst thing you can do is take away someone’s dignity or make them lose their sense of purpose. It’s true that he should have been truthful about his information coming from others, but I can see how he could become addicted to how everyone else looked up to him and he may have just “let them think that” he had done all those things before the rumors got way out of hand. Then it just became natural to him.

Speaking of which, Mr. Thicknose seems quite old to me (maybe not as old as Littlefoot’s grandparents, but close). If he had never seen or heard about snow before, it must not have snowed in the Great Valley for like 50 years. That’s crazy!

I think Mr. Thicknose is an ok character. A little stuffy for my taste. He talks too much and too slowly. :lol_ducky I respect the knowledge that he has, but I don’t know if it’s a good idea to have him teaching the young ones based on hearsay rather than facts. I don’t know.
