This is per your “Say Goodbye to Spam Forever” post.
1.) The Google picture system is a PAIN for legit users. I’ve ran into it merely for using a Tor browser or a VPN. That picture identification thing could be used to interrogate members of ISIS!
2.) It doesn’t appear to be stopping the flow of spammers. They’re coming in like illegal aliens over the US border.
Why not try a system that asks you to identify a photo of Littlefoot or something (might keep out some legit users but if they don’t know who Littlefoot is, why are they here anyway?) by typing in a character’s name. It will stop spammers who won’t be able to use some fancy tech to get past it, unless they code it specifically for your site, but shouldn’t harm any real users.
Also, once or twice, your Google system, for checking the box, has sent the picture thing for ME when trying to log in (I just refresh and hope the blasted thing doesn’t show up again the next time as I suck at them, particularly with the traffic light ones.)
