What language would Chomper speak between movie V and the TV Series?

I, when deciding to finally do a flashback of him coming to the Great Valley and also his troubles with Red Claw, to have him, while living with his parents, pretty much only speak in Sharptooth (including to Ruby, who apparently also knows it as she can talk to Chomper’s fahther and also can understand the Hidden Runner stories that Sharpteeth tell their children.)
