I think it’s because her Dad said Threehorns Never Play with Longnecks. The MPAA needed to pay more attention to inappropriate content in the 80s. The Land Before Time is a defiant PG, not G.

How about an alternative end credits scene with the Rainbow Faces on their UFO so that the audience could discover the mysterious nature of the Rainbow Faces
