So nether Ruby nor Chomper had any lines in this movie?
I got curios so I just skimmed over parts of the movie and they did have 1 or 2 lines. But nothing worth mentioning. They basically weren’t there.
Spike: My head is stuck and no one cares.
Scar was very devious, but lacked the physical strength to take on his brother directly. That’s why he schemed and plotted to murder him rather than face him directly. Because of this, I’d bet on Shere Khan any day in almost any scenario other than poker.
Littlefoot: What is it guys? Is there something behind me?
I think killing off a good character brings a sense of realism to a show. However, I don’t think it’s a good idea to kill off a character that the audience is emotionally attached to, or a character that actually has a purpose. Killing off Cera’s father wouldn’t be wise because he’s a great source of antagonism in the series. However Chomper’s parents would be fine as we’ve formed no emotional connection to them and they currently serve no purpose in the shows.
But then again, why kill off Chomper’s parents? What would be the point except to show realism? And you have to remember that it is a kid’s show. You have to be careful how you handle stuff like this, especially nowadays. People sue at the drop of a hat and there are more crazy parents today than ever before.
So she didn’t even speak in the new movie????
Not that I recall. I only saw the movie once and I wasn’t very impressed. It wasn’t a terrible movie, but it certainly wasn’t my favorite of the sequels.

The 10th movie was unique and I did like it. However it also felt a little off to me. It was the whole atmosphere of the movie, the colors, the lighting, and the drawing style that kind of threw me off. But it was a good story and we did see Littlefoot’s father for the first time so I see it as one of the better sequels.
I actually liked the series.
I liked the series too, but like @LittlefootAndCera, I was a little disappointed in their quality. Though as a general rule TV shows are usually a little lower quality than movies, the TV series had a very low budget and it showed.
Still, there’s no such thing as too much LBT and it was more LBT material so I won’t complain.
I like Ruby and I was a little disappointed that she and Chomper didn’t accompany the rest of the gang on their journey in LBT 14. I wonder why? Is that how it’s going to be from now on? Just the gang go on adventures?
The TV series came out after LBT 13 and I was eagerly awaiting seeing Ruby in the next movie. Then to have nothing but a shot of her backside as if she were some background character or an afterthought….it wasn’t very nice. I would have much preferred for her and Chomper to be part of the quest.
I grew up in a Christian household and I’ve never heard of it before. I had to Google it to get any answers. Apparently it’s like Easter, except it’s a day of remembrance of Christ’s crucifixion rather than a celebration of his resurrection (which is Easter). Strange that I’ve never even heard about it before…
March 23, 2016 at 3:00 pm in reply to: Strut, is he actually bad or is he just around that nasty Ozzy too much? #1603I still think that Strut has an evil side to him, but he’s content just eating green food and not having to mess with all the trouble of trying to get an egg. If his brother weren’t around, he wouldn’t have done all those bad things to the gang. His brother is a bad influence.
I like LBT for one reason and one reason alone: the characters. I CARE about Littlefoot and the others and I want to see what happens to them. The stories are fine too I guess, but what really makes the show to me is the characters.
March 22, 2016 at 3:01 pm in reply to: Dil and Ichy: Were they Friendly Sharpteeth in the past? #1593You misunderstood me. I’m saying, maybe years earlier, they were where Chomper is now. They were friends with Leaf Eaters. Something went wrong. Perhaps one or both of them was raised by Leaf Eaters. I know nothing screams friendly NOW, but what about years ago? I mean, they can talk.
Also, suppose that 10 or so years down the line (hope he doesn’t) that Chomper goes rogue. Now he’s not friendly to Leaf Eaters anymore but he’s been shunning other Sharpteeth, including his own species. Perhaps he’ll end up alone or in dire straits like those two.
If that’s true then it was MANY years ago. Dill is likely pretty old as she’s losing her eyesight and Ichy doesn’t look young either.
Haters say Petrie is a coward. Mind if I shove these scenes in their faces?
He’s no coward. Especially when it comes to protecting those he cares about.
I’ve never thought Petrie was a coward. Scared, yes. But when it comes down to it, he does what has to be done even though he’s afraid. And that’s the exact OPPOSITE of being a coward. That’s having courage.
